In 2024, the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, a long-time supporter and Platinum Patron of The King’s Trust, committed a £1 million donation to support young entrepreneurs across the UK. This donation marked the launch of the ‘Sir Stelios Philanthropic Foundation Fund for Enterprise’, which will help young people test, sustain, and grow their business ideas.
The fund is part of The King’s Trust’s Start Up Grants initiative and will be available to individuals engaged in the Trust’s Enterprise programme. It will support entrepreneurs at various stages of their journey— whether they’re testing a new idea or expanding an established venture.
Jonathan Townsend, Chief Executive of The King’s Trust, expressed his gratitude, saying, “This transformational gift will allow us to unlock the potential of young entrepreneurs, helping them grow their businesses at crucial stages. Whether starting or scaling, this fund will ensure they have the support they need to succeed.”
Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou shared his enthusiasm, saying, “I’m thrilled to launch this new fund with The King’s Trust. Entrepreneurship is a passion of mine, and I’m excited to help young people across the UK turn their business ideas into reality and achieve their dreams.”
