Sir Stelios calls for applications for the Awards for Disabled Entrepreneurs in the UK as from 7 May 2024
Leading disability charity Leonard Cheshire and Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, creator and owner of the easy family of brands including easyJet (see www.easyHistory.info) and founder and president of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, are proud to launch the Stelios Awards for Disabled Entrepreneurs in the UK 2024 now in their 16th year.
The Awards offer financial prizes for disabled entrepreneurs in the UK. A top prize of £100,000 and two finalist prizes of £60,000 and £40,000 are up for grabs for this year’s winners, offering £200,000 in cash prizes in total for 2024.

ABOUT THE UK FOUNDATION
Stelios, born in Athens, Greece, is a dual citizen of the UK and Cyprus. Stelios’ parents were born in Cyprus when the island was a British colony.
Stelios was educated in the UK at the London School of Economics (1987) and City University (1988) and started his best known business easyJet.com at Luton Airport, north of London, UK in 1995.
The easy family of brands managed by easyGroup which is Stelios’ private investment company is now headquartered at 10 Ansdell Street, Kensington, London easy.com.
Stelios has also created his own philanthropic foundation in the UK (UK Charity No 1441206 & Company No 07567138). It is headquartered at 34 Thurloe Square, South Kensington SW7 2SR. This grade 2 listed building at this prestigious address is available to other UK charities to host their own charitable events there by agreement for free.
In 2017 Sir Stelios joined the Giving Pledge, the global movement of philanthropists led by Bill Gates and Warren Buffet who have committed to give half their fortunes to a good cause , during their life times or by will.
